About this project

The Municipality of The Hague, Laak division asked me to work out a plan to develop and implement a new online tool/app to make participation easier for children. They had the desire to use the tool/app to use in local playgrounds. And they needed a possibility to link to the tool online to communicate through their own local channels. The tool/app criteria consisted of, among others, easy to use for children between 3 and 12 years old, independant of language so it can be used in a multicultural area, preferably highly visual and fun. And completely compliant to the recent security and privacy guidelines.

The approach

As communication specialist I took the lead in this project. To align on the content, to define the steps to take and to create and follow the planning. I connected the stakeholders, such as the project lead Michel Peyrer and his team and the external technical supplier, to not only realise the design and tool. I made sure all wishes were taken care of and noted well. A pilot version is ready to be tested and the project will reach phase 2 in the coming year.
